What is a Pink Slip?
A Pink Slip (also known as an eSafety Check or Safety Inspection Report) is a mandatory safety inspection required by Transport for NSW for most light vehicles over 5 years old when renewing registration.
Once your vehicle passes, the result is submitted electronically to Service NSW so you can renew your rego immediately.

What gets checked during the inspection?

What happens if my car fails the inspection?
If your vehicle fails:
You’ll receive a detailed explanation of what needs fixing.
You have 14 days to repair the faults.
A free re-inspection is provided within that period (call-out fee still applies).
We can also assist with repairs if required at our workshop in Gladesville. For minor repairs like globes, can be fixed on the spot.
How quickly can I get a booking?

Do I need to be present during the inspection?
Not always. As long as the vehicle is accessible and keys are available, we can complete the inspection without you being onsite.
Can you inspect expired, heavy or historic vehicles?
No, those vehicles will require a blue & brown slips which we do not provide.
